Tips for choosing the right cleats
When choosing baseball or softball cleats, it’s important to think about the type of surface you will be playing on. Players training on hard surfaces like concrete or asphalt will need metal cleats to help grip the surface better.
It’s often best practice to have two pairs of cleats if you train on a different surface than when you play. Players who train or play on softer surfaces like grass or dirt fields can choose cleats with moulded spikes instead.
Some other things to think about when updating or investing in cleats are the level of playing and ability. If you’re new to the sport, you don’t need to buy the best pair of cleats in order to enjoy the game. More serious players or players in higher leagues will benefit from investing in more expensive cleats as they’ll want the best-performing shoes available.
