Choosing the right fielding gloves


Fielding gloves for baseball are typically made of leather or synthetic leather and have a pocket designed to cushion the ball and prevent it from bouncing out. The size and shape of a glove vary depending on the position played by the fielder and their age.

The first baseman gloves are typically larger than shortstop gloves because the first baseman needs to be able to catch balls thrown from a long distance, for example.
